This gorgeous 1 oz pure silver coin by the South African Mint features an elephant. It's the first release of the Mint's announced big five series.

The obverse of the coin features a close-up of the elephant with its ears flared and trunk and tusks being the dominant feature. The obverse displays the Coat of Arms of South Africa. It also includes the inscriptions "Big Five 2019", and "South Africa".

The reverse depicts two halves of the face of an elephant. The reverse also shows the monetary denomination of the coin, 5 rands, and metal weight and quality. This coin comes in an illustrated blister card.

Limited mintage of only 15.000 pieces.
